Open one sachet, wipe the injection site in a single direction (not back-and-forth), and let it air-dry for 30 seconds before injecting — alcohol disinfects only as it evaporates. Don't blow on the site or wave at it; that re-deposits skin flora. Use a fresh pad for every site if you rotate, and a fresh pad for every vial septum you draw from. Sealed sachets keep their saturation and antiseptic activity for 36 months from the manufacturing date printed on the outer pack — well past most home-use scenarios.
